This is a Solid Concrete bungalow built about 20 - 25 years ago. Houses that were built with solid mass concrete walls have little or no insulation, as there is no cavity in the wall. Pumping the walls with insulation is not an option. After discussions with the client and offering our advice to them, they decided to insulate there home using External Insulation. We recommended this option to the client because they were currently using a large amount of oil to heat the house 24hrs a day. By retro fitting their home with external Insulation they will now be able to cut their heating bills by up to 50% per year as well as creating a warmer and more comfortable home to live in.
